CORPORATE WINE TASTING

In partnership with our official suppliers, Imbibros Wine Merchants & The Vine King, who have over 25 years experience and knowledge of the fine wine market, we are delighted to be able to offer a variety of fantastic corporate wine tasting events that will be sure to impress all your guests!

Wine is definitely a hot topic and a popular form of investment (there is currently no Capital Gains Tax on reselling wine). As more and more people develop their knowledge of wine growing regions, vintages and appellations the demand and interest for corporate wine tastings are proving stronger than ever.  Such tastings are ideal for client entertainment, team building, product launches, press events or even Christmas and summer parties.

These events can be produced and hosted at your offices as well as other superb locations in London’s West End and City to suit your requirements. We also provide you with full catering options, professional glassware, mementoes, prizes and guest speakers as well as other specific requests you may have.

Starting from just £55 per person (for a minimum of 15 guests), we can recommend a format for the event that will help you achieve your objectives whilst providing a fun and memorable event.

BORDEAUX TASTINGS

• St Emilion v Pomerol                

For the ‘Right Bank’ fanatic, this tasting illustrates how subtle differences in the terroir of these two neighbouring appellations produce such variety in style. Perhaps a comparison of St Emilion’s Chateau Figeac & Pomerol’s Chateau La Conseillante could be on the cards or to really impress, why not push the boat out with a cross examination of the legendary Chateaux Cheval Blanc & Petrus!

• ‘Pauillac  Power’

Boasting not only the outstanding 1st Growths, Lafite, Mouton Rothschild & Latour, Pauillac is home to a whole host of outstanding Chateaux such as Lynch Bages, Pontet Canet, Batailley and Grand Puy Lacoste. Depending on your budget we’ll create a tasting that shows the Cabernet Sauvignon grape in its most powerful and refined light. One of our most celebrated tastings.

• 1st Cru Classe vertical

This is a rare opportunity to compare and indulge yourself in each of Bordeaux’ illustrious ‘1er Cru Classe’, side by side. Examine the differences in terroir, microclimate & style that make them so unique and marvel at the sheer refinement and depth of flavour that each produces. These are the chateaux that many of the world’s producers attempt to emulate, but rarely succeed in doing so.

• ‘Sauternes Stickies’

Famous for the legendary Chateau D’Yquem the Sauternes region, home of desert wine, is synonymous with elitism, refinement and supreme quality. This is a tasting not to be missed by anyone with a sweet tooth disposition!  We are always able to feature Yquem if you so wish but other leading Chateaux such as Suduiraut, Raymond Lafon & Rieussec do offer wonderful quality and value for money in comparison..

AUSTRALIAN TASTING

• Shiraz(‘amatazz!)

Ever wondered how Australia’s highly prized Shiraz’  the Penfold’s Grange and Henschke’s ‘Hill of Grace’ taste but couldn’t bring yourself to commit to such an expensive bottle? We can not only offer these rather decadent Shiraz’ but also some other outstanding examples from current leading producers such as Ben Glaetzer, Frank Mitolo and the Two Hands Winery.

CHAMPAGNE TASTING

• Champagne Pol Roger ‘Cuvee Winston Churchill’

Sir Winston Churchill was Pol Roger's most illustrious devotee and customer. This champagne is made in his honour. The grapes are all from Grand Cru vineyards which were under vine during Churchill's lifetime and it is only ever made in the very best vintages. It is made in a style which Churchill himself favoured: robust, mature and long-lived. Today, the ‘Cuvee Winston Churchill’ is one of the top champagnes produced rivalling Krug, Salon and Dom Perignon; in a top vintage it is simply unbeatable

ALTERNATIVE TASTING

• For the gourmand we also create decadent Food & Wine combination evenings that are dressed to impress! Krug and Fish & Chips, Hermitage & Goose, Sauternes & Foie Gras, Vintage Port & Blue Cheese are to name but a few..

• Blind Tasting Game – We select the wines (normally around 5 works best) which are served ‘blind’, one by one to each team with two accompanying tasting notes which are vastly different. Between yourselves you must decide which tasting note matches each wine the most accurately. We can make this as easy or as difficult as you like! Great fun.
